Jupiter, Capricorn, and Your Weekly AstroYoga Forecast 12/3/2019

Jupiter in Capricorn

Capricorn energy has been under immense pressure for the past year (and will be for the next one); this prolonged season is seeking to poke and prod the Capricorn-ruled area of your chart until it churns out a proverbial diamond.

Yesterday, Jupiter entered Capricorn for a 13 month stay. Jupiter's entry marks a time when you can finally begin to see the glimmer in the forming diamond. Now is your time to beneficially expand your approach to measured, sustained effort over time. What is it you're working toward?

Whatever it is in your life that seems difficult, take some time to reflect on what positive actions you can take toward your goals. What is truly in your control? Act on that. What is beyond your control? Let those things go.

The AstroYoga pose of the week strengthens the Capricorn-ruled area of the body and opens the Sagittarius-ruled hips and thighs.

ASTRO YOGA TIP OF THE WEEK

Practice Tiger Pose (Vyaghrasana)

To practice this pose:

1. Start on your hands and knees in tabletop position
2. Lift your right leg and bend your knee
3. Reach with your left hand for your right foot (either overhand or backhand grip works)
4. Kick your foot into your hand and draw your toes skyward
5. Remain here for several breaths
6. Repeat on the other side

PRO TIP

Think about lengthening the mid back and taking this posture more into the quadriceps. As you kick your foot into your hand, you'll both stretch and strengthen your quads. This will also open up the front of your hips, creating an energetic loop that awakens and seals in positive energy for Sagittarius season.

My advice on how this asana connects with astrology is general. Your personal chart will offer more specific advice on what sorts of activities could fortify your best qualities and encourage growth where there’s unrealized potential.
